Lucia Kulhavy MPAS,
PA-C
My hometown is Birmingham, Alabama and I was born
from parents that immigrated from what was then
Czechoslovakia. After receiving my biology degree
from the University of Alabama at Birmingham I moved
to Pittsburgh, PA where I worked in a basic research
lab focusing on ovarian cancer research. I met several
Physician Assistants while working in the hospital
and was interested in pursuing that as a career.
I enrolled in the Physician Assistant Program at
Chatham College in Pittsburgh and graduated with
my Masters in Physician Assistant studies in 1998.
After graduating I moved to Winston-Salem, North
Carolina for my first PA job at the Wake Forest
University Comprehensive Cancer Center and worked
there for 8 years.
I was married in 9/06 and moved to Roanoke to
live with my husband.
Due to the desire of continuing work in the
field of oncology I found my position at Blue
Ridge Cancer Care in 12/06. I currently work
in both the Roanoke and Salem Clinics.
